Our Process
To apply ClearPlex Windscreen Protection to your car, the GVE Detailing team carry out this process:
1. Decontaminate your windscreen to remove any dirt and impurities that may cause the film to peel.
2. Cut the film to shape to cover your entire windscreen.
3. Install the film with a solution and specialist squeegee tools, similar to Paint Protection Film.
4. Quality check the finish for imperfections to ensure that the installation has been successful.

What is ClearPlex™ windscreen protection film?
ClearPlex™ is a patented film thermally fitted to the exterior surface of a windscreen, preventing damage from ordinary road stone chips and debris, and harsh conditions that often break or chip standard windscreens. ClearPlex™ is multi-layered, designed to ensure optimum strength and durability for ultra-effective results on the road.
What does it look like?
ClearPlex™ is a virtually invisible 0.0045 inch thick film, with optical clarity and UV protection.
Will ClearPlex™ impair the driver’s vision?
No. It is optically clear and guaranteed not to peel, bubble, crack or yellow for the warranted life of the product.
Is ClearPlex™ scratch resistant?
Yes, it’s harder than glass! The hard-coated film features much of the same scratch resistant qualities as glass and will protect against normal everyday abrasion – including windscreen wipers.
Will ClearPlex™ remain adhered to the windshield?
The adhesive is strong enough that high-power car wash streams do not cause the film to lift from the windshield.
Is ClearPlex™ permanent?
No. It protects the windscreen from damage and harsh conditions, so would benefit from occasional replacement to provide optimal protection. The need and timing to replace the film is dependent upon the miles driven, and the conditions in which those miles are accumulated.
How is ClearPlex™ removed or replaced?
ClearPlex uses a unique adhesive that keeps the film adhered tightly to the windscreen, but is not permanent. If necessary, the film can be removed by using a semi-sharp instrument (such as a knife blade), to lift up one corner of the film, and will then lift off with constant pressure. Any adhesive remaining on the windshield can be removed with basic soap and water. New ClearPlex can then be installed on the clean windscreen.
